In partnership with Head Start centers in Santa Fe and Santa Fe County and preschool classes of Santa Fe Public Schools and private preschools, the Hochberg Early Childhood Education Academy offers museum visits and educational programs to preschoolers and their families.

Make history come alive for small children. Instill a lifelong interest in and enthusiasm for history and museums.

Activities include storytelling, visual art making that promotes hands-on creative expression, puppetry, role playing with costumes, music, singing, movement, and visits to the galleries. Each visiting class also receives a book to take back for their library.

Transportation funding is available for qualified classes. 

The program is named in honor of its primary benefactors Stephen and Jane Hochberg.
