Friends of History Wednesday Lecture Series

Jewish Women Pioneering the Frontier Trail in the American West

Please join Dr. Jeanne Abrams, Professor, University of Denver, for a virtual event, as she shares on Jews, particularly Jewish women, who found unprecedented opportunity in the early American West. This presentation is being jointly sponsored by the Fray Angelico Chavez Library and the Friends of History in conjunction with a grant  from the Sue and Felix Warburg Collection in Honor of Willi and Flora Spiegelberg.  The grant to the New Mexico History Museum provides resources to make  collection acquisitions and to undertake research on Jewish ...

Native American Portal Youth Summer Sales Event

Begin collecting art, jewelry, pottery and more from the next generation of Native American artists and craftspeople. Children and grandchildren of artists associated with the Palace of the Governors’ Portal Program will demonstrate and sell their own arts and crafts.
