Hochberg Early Childhood Education Academy

WEE-ONES WELCOME!

The Hochberg Early Childhood Learning Academy offers museum visits and educational programs to pre-kindergarteners and HeadStart classes including their families. We make history come alive for small children, instilling a lifelong enthusiasm for history and museums!

Activities include storytelling, visual art making that promotes hands-on creative expression, puppetry, role playing with costumes, music, singing, movement, and visits to the galleries.

The content of the program changes each year, but the core themes stay the same: Celebrate New Mexico/ State Symbols and Community Helpers/ What Do People Do All Day? Each visiting class receives a book to take back for their library. Students will spend 75 minutes total in the museum. Field trips are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays usually from 10:00am-11:15am but other time considerations are possible. Transportation funding is available for qualified classes by contacting our Education department

For information about participation in the program contact our Education department.

The program is named in honor of its primary benefactors Stephen and Jane Hochberg.
