Please join Cara Romero (Chemehuevi), international award-winning fine art photographer in our auditorium, as she shares her proficiency as an artist and explores how her photographs convey collective Native histories, and the ways in which indigeneity expresses itself in modern times, along with her involvement as an artist and her own experiences in the annual Santa Fe’s Indian Market. Stop by the New Mexico History Museum for an engaging and interactive activity at the Palace Press, located within our historic courtyard.
Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the historic press and experience hands-on printmaking and "pulling" their own custom print to take home.
(The Press at the Palace of the Governors, known informally as the Palace Press, introduces visitors to the world of nineteenth-and early twentieth-century publishing.)
